My name is Zhou Lijuan. I come from Huining, located in
Northwest of China, Baiying city of Gansu province. Huining
is very dry. Crops, the only income of my family grow
poorly for lack of water. There are seven people in my family.
My grandparents are old and my mother has been ill for years.
They can’t work but all need medical care. My younger
brother is studying in a middle school. My father undertakes
all the burden of my family. After entering Shandan Baili
school, my father really can not afford my tuition fees,
he has to borrow money from our relative and friends, I
feel very sorry. My father is older than his age. Many times,
I want to give up my study, and go to work to reduce my
father’s burden. Luckily, our situation is concerned
by our principals, teachers, especially some foreign friends,
who pay more attention to our school. I have received twelve
hundred yuan of scholarship (last term, 600 yuan, and this
term another 600 yuan from your foundation scholarship as
my living expenses. It really help me pass my difficulties.

a girl. I come from Mingxian of Dingxi city. There
are five people in my family, my grandmother, my parents,

and I are students. Our life only depends on some crops,
but in recent years the crops are damaged seriously by
drought. Our income is less than 700 yuan every
year. It’s not enough for our tuition fee and other
family expenses. Luckily,
I got the special scholarship - twelve hundred yuan (last
term, 600 yuan, and this term another 600 yuan) from your
foundation scholarship as my living expenses, which reduce
my parents` pressure.
I want to sincerely thank you,
