Firstly
I have to make an apology for our later reply to you!
As
headmaster, I have to, on behalf of all the staff and students
of my school, express our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude
for your help to my twenty girl students. Your special schoolarship
to the twenty girl students not only helps the students themselves,
brings them some chances to bright future, but also helps the
students' family, even extends the school's influence and raises

I

is ill in bed. So my family depends on my mother. I’m
only a student in my family. But my family are busy with
raising money when the school begins. I have to give up
studying specialized subject for lack of money.

My name is Shang Yanyan. I come from Linze county, Gansu
province. My family is very poor and even worse. We have
poor harvest because of flood. Our average income is under
4,000 yuan. But we spend more than it. We have to pay our
medical fees, 1,000 yuan per year, other expenses( 3,500
yuan), and my tuition. my family can’t afford it.
We have to grant a loan (over 20,000 yuan) from the bank.
My two younger sisters had to drop out from the school to
go outside to work for the family.
My father gives me 100 yuan a month for my living in school.
It’s not enough. My classmates often help me. And
fortunately, I have got twelve hundred yuan (last term,
600 yuan, and this term another 600 yuan) from your foundation
scholarship as my living expenses. I was very thankful.
I appreciate all the help you have given to me. My major
is English. I will study hard to find a good job. Wherever
I go, whatever I do , I will go on studying . I , a student
